Well, it's a pretty cold Halloween. I woke up to the temperature being 29° and the high today was in the low 40s! Coats will be going over the costumes this year.
The kids had a nice start this morning with a visit from the Great Pumpkin! He left each of them a book, glow stick, notebook, and little Halloween buddy. For breakfast, the kids had Jack-o-Lantern orange rolls-Yum!
Isaac had a lot of trouble deciding on his costume. He kept changing his mind, which was wearing on mine. We started out with a fireman, then changed to Spider-man. Buzz Lightyear, a skeleton, a pumpkin, a monkey, and this morning, a mouse and ghost were all considered. Right before leaving for the parade, I told him he had to decide. He then suggested that maybe he'd like to be a pillow. Silly boy. After telling him that kids without costumes don't get candy, he finally went with the fireman. Of course, that's where we started!
Lorelai had quite a busy day today. First, school with a party and a costume parade (Isaac and I watched from the sidelines). She dressed up as a black cat, complete with ears and a tail. Then dance class downtown followed by a quick pretzel dinner. We had to meet up with her neighborhood friends just after we get home to go Trick-or-Treating!
We had such a great time going out with our new friends! Isaac and an older boy were buddies and walked around together the whole time. It was adorable. We hit our whole complex as well as a condo area next door and then headed across the street. It was the first year that we visited more of the neighborhood and the kids brought in quite a haul! And there was not one single Bit-O-Honey!

Great costumes! Isaac looks to tall! Happy Halloween!
