Random Tidbits Throughout the Week

Well, I've slacked off a bit this week on my Daily Noodle, sorry about that.   It's been a fairly busy week.  Busy with the everyday stuff like dance class, library, swimming, playgroup, playdates, errands, etc.  So today, Isaac and I are taking it easy.  He has come down with a cold and is keeping himself occupied with more foam stickers.  I am going to catch up on laundry-exciting!

Isaac:
  • tried the kick board in swimming class and didn't sink-yeah!
  • helped out at home by putting away laundry, sorting recycling, and setting the table
  • built sand castles at the park.
  • decided that he did not want or need a middle name.  Instead, he will answer to "Little Provie" in recognition of his taste for provolone cheese.
  • has finally gotten the hang of #2!  It's been a wonderful week of no accidents!

While a neighbor boy was over to play, I listened at Isaac's door and overheard, "Lorelai's room is too girly.  My room is...just right."   :)

Lorelai:
  • has been able to play with some of her school friends this week both at the park and at our house.  She was so excited to give them a "tour" of our home.  Lore is a nice little hostess.
  • worked on combining her kicks and arm strokes to swim with only the aid of a life vest during swimming lessons.
  • has been entertaining us with songs she's learned in music class.
  • continues to write books and fill pages with pictures.  She is always asking how to spell new words.
  • was thrilled to receive her very first birthday invitation from a friend at school!  He invited the whole class and the party will be at an indoor jungle-gym type place.  She can't wait!

This weekend starts a few days of celebrating Halloween!  There's trick-or-treating at one of the grocery stores tonight, a party at a friend's house tomorrow afternoon, and Trick-or-Treating on Monday night.  Lorelai will also be having a party at school on Monday.  I need to finish the tail for her cat costume.

  1. Hurray for an accident-free week! Isaac cracks me up. Well, both kids do, but the little provie thing is hilarious!

  2. He was so funny the other night. He had all these great one-liners, one right after the other!
