Sid and Marty Krofft, Hello and Good-bye

So I introduced the kids to the bizarre world of Sid & Marty Krofft today.   First reactions:  Isaac "I wanted to watch Veggie Tales!"  and Lorelai "Look at that hat guy (referring to Lidsville).  I don't want to watch this."  They watched about 5 minutes of H. R. Pufnstuf and I had to turn it off.  Lorelai did admit that she might like it a little bit.  Perhaps I should have started with The Bugaloos or Sigmund and the Sea Monsters.  Maybe they'll appreciate these quirky, trippy, and just plain odd shows when they're older.  Veggie Tales it is!
