Roscoe and Tully

Roscoe is the smaller one in front and Tully is the larger one in back.

Roscoe and Tully are our pet Red-Eared Sliders.  They were adopted by us from a previous owner in November 2004.  Both are female and as I met them as Roscoe and Tully, I had a hard time renaming them.  So Roscoe and Tully they remain.  Tully has been a pet for 10 years and Roscoe, 8 1/2 years.  They have just finished (hopefully) laying quite a lot of eggs.

We found out in early January 2012 that Roscoe has a bladder stone.  For now, she is being monitored and will have a follow-up X-ray and urinalysis in a few weeks to see if the stone has grown and to check for infection.  Our vet is currently looking into options on how to best treat this condition.

Lorelai and Isaac just love their turtles!
